C6 ZO6 and GT500 argument

C6 ZO6 and GT500 argument In my calculus class, i sit next to a hardcore ford fan. On friday we got in an argument over which was a better car i said ZO6 and of course he says the 500. I told him i didnt pick the Z just because i was a chevy fan, in fact i like fords also, i just happen to think its an all around better car. So i told him that most people would pick the Z. So i made a survey with the specs listed for both cars, and got at least 70-100 people to sign it. Needless to say, i had to turn the paper over for the list on the Z's side, and the 500 side was quite lonely with about 5 signatures. For some reason i found this amusing.

What I find amusing? The fact that you put that much effort into it. It's a persons personal taste and opinion which you are trying to change. Much like when a Democrat and a Republican get into an argument, no matter how well their arguments are, neither will win.
So to sum this all up, this is why I don't go around trying to convince other car fanatics that my car is better than theirs (which many times it isn't anyway).

Nice. I think if the argument was that important to you then you did the right thing by doing whatever it takes to win. And I'm sure being in highschool it didn't take much time or effort to get about 100 signatures.
Their sure has been an increase in ******* attitudes around here lately....
btw, they weren't arguing over personal taste or opinion, they were arguing over the better car.

Asking which is the better car generally is taste and opinion. If they wanted something that could be measured, like which is faster, than it would be fact. "Better" is generally associated with preference.

personally im both a gm and ford fan. i love domestics.. the thing is z06 stock is quicker.. but a few things done to the gt500 aka pulley / intake / tune u got your self a nice ride.. for both shall i say.. its easy and cheap to mod 03/04 cobras and the new gt500.. its a biased opinion so its your call.. i myself would take the z06 over the gt500. even my buddy he hates fords.. but he loves the gt500.

BOTH is the only answer.
Yeah sure the z06 is faster, but try and fit four people in it!!!!!!!

Opinion would be stated more upon looks, feel, comfort... when people talk about "Better." They usually do in fact mean performance. I doubt they were talking about just about ride comfort and all that garbage. In which case... opinion.
But you know damn well they were talking about performance. Which it is a fact, not opinion... the Z06 will slap the GT500 all over the place. I love Ford... my Uncle has a GT500. It's amazing... but the Z06 is simply stupid.

The ZO6 is faster inthe quarter mile, faster to 60, 100 and 150. The ZO6 will outhandle the Ford GT500 in every category. Which is better? That's an opinion, the facts say that on any race track the ZO6 is superior. The rest is just personal opinion.

If its a dedicated track car then there are platforms which are 10x better than the Z06.
