Kit cars are just plain stupid. I dont know why everyone wastes there money on them. I saw a replica Ferrari 308 once and the guy that had it said the previous owner spent 60grand to build it and you can buy a "nice" 308 for 30 grand and have the real thing. This guy that bought it from the guy that built it paid 10 for it.

But there are lot of awesome kit cars out there. Such as many of the Cobra replicas, these are generally far superior to the original in terms of performance. Then there's the Caterham likes, such as the Dax Rush, awsome mahcine and can be had with 4wd and a V8 if you want.
Not too mention cars such as the Ultima GTR, one of the fastest street legal machines money can buy.

I should have rephrased that. I mean Replica Kit cars are just plain stupid. Like the one I mentioned or the Lamborhini ones. I will admit though the Cobra ones are nice. I would never make a replica of a Lamborghini or anyother exotic.

You have got it all wrong. Trans Am's are not girl cars, they get the girls.
