Default Leaking T-tops...

Well, it rained pretty good today and i opened the doors to find out both T-tops had dribbled on the seats. It is at the front of the T and dribbled on the part of the seat to the left of your left thigh. Anything I can do to help out with this?

They appear to be in very good shape (seals) but are "bone dry" I will try caking them up with dielectric grease per-GM recommendations. I think this may fix/help it.

How hard did it rain? I have never had a t-top leak due to the rain, only pressure washes. I wouldn't think there is too much you could do about it, SFC's might help it from getting worse. Do your t-tops squeak while driving? Could just be miss aligned.

They look like the seals are fit fine, car is VERY solid with NO sqeeks or rattles. Doors have ZERO sag also. I am confused and annoyed

I doubt that his car is twisted, its bone stock, theres a very small chance someone would have had sticky tires on it and taken it to the track. Spinning em wouldn't twist it.

No way is this car twisted. I promise, lol. A 44 y/o man used it as a church car. It still has CAGS for crying out loud. I think the T-top seals just need some grease, I drove it for 20 miles in the rain and no leaky. I just think they need some goo (When I bought it the GM invoice listed it as "lubricant." I felt dirty.)

I'd try the dielectric grease. Maybe once they get spongy again it will stop the leaking because it is creating a better seal. Cheap thing to try anyway!

Out of the 2 4th gens ive have owned, never had any leaks until a t top pulled a james bond. I had to use a 93 t top for a temporary until my new one came in. it leaked in the rain and after reading up on the dielectric grease on here i tried it out. for the remainder of the time it was on it never leaked in the rain or during me washing the car. Id say the grease should solve your problem

Sweet ride by the way man, Im always a fan of the black f bodys

Have you have the t-tops off lately? Check where the windshield seal overlays the t-top seal and make sure it is not rolled back, even slightly. When mine leak that is usually the problem. Run your finger around the outer edge to pull out the "fold" and be sure the connection is flat. That usually works for me. If not, then perhaps try the dielectric grease like others are suggesting.

The seals looked really good to me. I put the grease on and they already look like they are "closer/tighter" no rain yet, so I dunno though.

Thanks, good news to me. I just emptied 3/4 tube of grease on the thing, lol. Hope it works, seals looked good.
