if ya wanna check her out, just drive over to hampton chevy and go in the back and look for her. the rear bumper will be sitting on the ground behind her, so she wont be hard to find!! Now this past wensday when i dropped off the hood the guy said they were gonna start work on friday, so it may not be out when u go by, but maybe u can see it through the windows of the shop! I go by thier everynight to see if shes been fucked with just sitting in the parking lot and just so i can have eyes on her, so to speak!!

just another update for smokinpanther! Well, true to the word of the guy at the body shop the car began its recovery and is no longer sitting outside in the elements! Went by today to see if they were really starting on it today and thier was a chrysler 300 parked where my car was with its front bumper all tore up and the damn thing was parked almost on-top of my rear bumper that was on the ground! i am wondering if i should go by with a flat-head screwdriver and remove my license plate and z28 frame from it!?

get on that...the frame may not be worth much, but a random tag that hasn't expired yet could mean big trouble for you if someone decides to get it

Some of you people are ******* idiots. You can't control every situation. You can't control every situation even when you take all the logical precautions. By your specious reasoning, the guy should've been going TEN MILES AN HOUR.

Idiots.

yeah, well i dont think they are idiots but i do think some people on tech just like to star arguments, and just say things to **** people off! By no means do i consider myself a proffesional driver, but i do it for a living and ive had a real wheel drive v-8 powered car as my personel vehicle most of my driving life and never had this happen before. it was an accident of circumstances, it happens, and yes theoretically yes, i guess i could have been going slower than 50 miles an hour, and im sure that played a part, but for those of u who are familier with 64w in va beach, u know 50 is dog **** slow!
But anyway, another update, i went by thier today with my gerber and took the rear license plate off the bumper that was sitting outside and my car is inside the bay and it looks like all the damaged panels have been removed except the hood which was up. Well, if i cant get any pics, ill just keep u guys updated, but im going to the feild on tuesday for 10 days so that will probably have to wait until then.

A drivers' responsibility IS to maintain control of the vehicle in EVERY condition. The speed limit isn't a magic number that if you're going anything under it, it is slow enough to maintain control in all conditions. If someone does a 180, then they weren't going slow enough for the current conditions at the time.

No offense intended to the guy that crashed the car up, sorry to hear about it, and I hope it works out for you. I've lost control more than once, and it sucks. But every time, I could have maintained control had I been going slower, and/or been more careful, ie not doing 50 through a deep puddle just because everybody else is going that fast.
