Yeah, if you thought you had idle issues now, just wait till you put a cam in it!

Honestly though, driveability tuning for cams has come a LONG way since I cammed my WS6. A lot more tables are available to modifiy with software these days, and tuner knowledge/experiance with LS1s has greatly improved. Plus my car was an A4 car so idle was always harder to get right than an M6 car.

^But a stalled A4 will eat up that bucking surge under 1500rpm in 1st cruising neighborhoods.

No arguement there. I put the 3500 stall in that car long before the cam.

However getting the idle just right in both P/N and in gear was a lot harder.

For the record, it was the random dying with no warning, not the idle, that had me freaked out. I think you could relate? Rather uncomfy knowing at any second your car can die.

I do understand that. I went through the random dieing with my Bonneville 50K miles ago. It was a safety issue and I too was very worried by it.

Yeah, I didnt know what it was and for all I knew it could happen at WOT when merging in front of an 18-wheeler and kill my ***. I was scared to drive this thing (it was the IAC im pretty sure so that couldnt have happened, but I didnt know that then).

if it was a 2004+ s2000, the have a different motor, its a 2.2liter, much better car. they trap a lil over 100 in teh q/m, so it isn't much slower than a stock ls1, its just peakier. I love all cars too.

I've ridden in a s2k... they feel fast in 1st and 2nd, but they don't have the power to keep pulling past that.

no car is a turd unless you make it one.

from it giving you a problem here and there it doesnt make it one.
