And again, the lid has no downside. No reduction in MPG, no reduction in driveability, very cheap to buy. Just a little gain in sound and power.

PS.
I put SFCs on my Trans Am when it was only 6 months old with about 1000 miles on it, and still the differnece was VERY noticeable. I used boxed 3-point SFCs on both that car and my current Z28.

They soften re-sale or trade-in by an even greater margin I assure you. The lid, I might do that...but something IRREVERSABLE, I dont plan on. With my 5.0, it was built to the MAXX and I had NO PLANS of re-sale. This car, I got in it right and I want to get out of it right, if I need to.

How so? Most people probably wouldn't even notice SFCs on one of these cars. They look close enough to being a stock part that someone who doesn't know what they're looking for would not realize it is aftermarket. And I don't see a lid being a big deal-buster either if I was looking for a car. Again, someone not familiar with these cars and their aftermarket probably wouldn't realize it was added on either.
And remember, the SLP lid could be had as a dealer option.

(would they "tune" it for the lid b/c it alters A/F (according to before/after dynos I have seen) or not?)

I'd say it's superior in construction, but not power. The aftermarket lids will likely make a tad more power due to the round neck into the TB (Blackwing is more oval like the stock air lid neck).

I'll be honest bud, I'm not really sure what I think of SFC's. I bought a pair of the weld-in ones about a year ago and had them installed and I really cannot feel a difference in the way the car rides. I'm sure that they do help in some way, but I really just can't feel a difference.

In the mustang world we dont even consider bolt-ons unless you are welding later. My last F-body had 170K miles on it and was just fine. I will stay w/o them.
Called a salvage owner's son (ADESA auction) and am trying to get a totalled SS's blackwing.

Good luck finding the Blackwing. They only came on a few SS cars as an extra Y2Y option. Most SSs won't have that lid.

I am determined to get one and I shall have one (not at a STOOPID price though).
