Default Poll: Boost/ Stroke / NA ?

So I have always wondered how often people drop thousands of dollars for FI setups and then wish they were still NA?
Reasons may include - the boost comes on too fast / to strong/ to slow/ etc. Maybe its dangerous driving on the street or on damp roads. Do you feel like you have less control of your car once you go boosted? When i mean control i mean like how M6 guys prefer manuals over A4 for precise control and such.

Also, please describe the way a 400hp tubro vs 400hp Stroker motor vs 400hp Super Charged cars pull and which you prefer and why.

Thanks!

why do you have naturally aspirated and stroker as separate things to vote on? i voted stroker, which is still gona be naturally aspirated, no juice no boost....

o ya and the reason i did was for the sound, and you dont have to worry about the maintence of a turbo or SC although it may be small, depends on how much you mess with it...

turbo all the way. ive never even heard of a turbo'ed ls1 putting down less than 400rwhp, even on low boost there above 450rwhp at least. a turbo'd ls1 that only makes 400rwhp would be extremely streetable and get good gas mileage as long as you stay out of boost. and if you only plan on running on low boost then there shouldnt be much maintainance at all. i really love n/a motors though and thats the route im going for right now, but i will eventually be going turbo. i think if money wasnt a factor there would be turbo ls1's out the *** but going turbo costs a lot of money, but so do strokers too.

cant beat the turbo for many reasons. You can drop 10 pounds of boost a ls1 with no problems and expect over 500 horsepower. The drivabilitly is incredible, stay out of the of the boost range and its no different the stock motor. if your on the street and someone wants a race, you have the power right there, you dont ahve to get out of your car and turn on some bottles. when that boost starts building (around 3500-4000) my god does it pull and flies right up to the rev limiter. In terms of comparing it to an SC setup, simple, no parasitic loss.

Yeah, I am highly aware that any turbo ls1 is going to make over 400. What I was trying to do was keep everything even across the board. I didnt want somebody choosing FI @ 800 hp vs NA @ 400. I'm just saying if all things equal what would you decide to go with and why.

Im very Biased towards Turbo's obviously..

If you want to do it right... Not talking about STS

plan on dropping at least $10k on turbo, supporting mods, fuel system, and misc. items (guages and such)

One or more turbo. Definitly not the cheapest way to go...but if you ever been in a turbo LsX you will understand...
