Heaven help us racers if queen Hillary gets in, we'll be on roller skates.

These cars really meet you definition of muscle car?
Cars that cost 35k+?
I went car shopping for a new "muscle car" a little over a year ago. Had 25,000 in cash to spend. Drove every car I could get my hands on. I bought my 1998 Formula. The only thing comperable as far as pin you in the seat torque, and fun to drive cost 61,000$(saleen mustang).
Give me a big v8 for 22,500 like the 4th gens, and I'll call it a muscle car.
In the history of the automobile, there has never been a shortage of over priced fast cars.

im kinda glad the HP wars are back. I can buy a newer muscle car or vette when i get outta college and keep the camaro as a cruiser only so i can pull it out 30 years down the road and it still only have 40k on the odo. perfect plan. Also about pontiac, they're gonna come back the game hard the rumor has it. GM wants to make all pontiacs RWD. They're considering bringing the Holden Commadore over as the next gen Grand Prix. That'd be freaking sweet. Then add in the next gen GTO and we're set.

You mean emissions regs? No limit on HP that I've ever heard of, just limits on average fleet fuel mileage and emissions.
PS. I'll be keeping my gas powered cars as long as gas is sold. No liberal bastard is taking my personal fleet away.

you guys need to stop flipping out about the oil thing. oil isnt gonna run out, cheap oil will run out eventually. but it will always be around. im not gonna say oil controls government but it definitely is the most persuasive lobbyist. there will never be anything to jeopardize oil use in the US so dont worry about it.

I say keep the power coming. We got compact cars and family sedans running times that cars from the mid-late '60s would be proud to run, mainstream SUVs and minivans not too far behind, and our sports/supercars... well we all know how fast they are becoming. It's only gonna go up from here, no matter what the fuel source is. There's an electric car out now that does 0-60 in about 4s, and is supposed to handle like a dream. Now, it is like $80k, and VERY limited production... but atleast it's a start.
