Default Is it easier to sell a LS1 longblock with a Transmission?

I am having a 408 motor built which will allow me to sell my stock LS1 motor as a complete longblock. I wanted to get an idea of what these motors went for so I searched EBAY. I noticed that almost every LS1 motor had either the 4L60E or T56 trans included as a motor/transmission combo.

I was planning to have my 4L60E built by a very reliable builder using my stock core. But if this will cause me to have a harder time selling the longblock then I could switch directions and buy a built 4L60E with no core return. Then I could sell my stock 4L60E along with the motor. Both motor and Trans are in perfect working order.

Any input would be much appreciated.

On ebay you are selling to two different kind of buyers. One is looking for a replacement engine for his/her car. he second is looking for a complete retrofit setup. The first doesn't need your harness, the second does. So you I would think you could do it either way and be ok. The only drawback is the auto trans deal wont net you as much as a 6 spd set up.
