Haha, my father HATES my car completely. I always get **** when I tell him that Im modding it or something PLUS how I spend so much time detailing it. Although I can sense he gets jealous when he sees my fully detailed car then gets in his subaru.

My dad likes my car and is waiting to drive it with the new flywheel and 315's. He is thinking of putting a super charger on his miata so it will be fast. My mom does not care for it.

My mom doesn't like riding in it while I'm driving but she doesn't hate it. My dad will drive it whenever he gets a chance. He's pulled plenty of holeshots in it and helped with the header install and did the welding on my SFC's.

My mom loves it but is too scared to get in for a ride and she used to hot rod F bods when she was younger. I left it in my dad's shop when I went to Iraq and he would pull it out every once in a while and my mom would always get on his case for hot rodding it around. He loves it, also helped with the headers and exhaust.

My dad calls me a ***** because my car is too quiet. He steals it whenever I leave the keys laying around and takes it broadside out of the driveway. Oh, I almost forgot; I always have to hear about how fast those old cars were from the 60's, even tho almost none of them would run 13 flat with the AC on and a CD playing.

My parents hate mine too. They said I treat it better then I do them lol. My stepdad calls it the peice of ****. He even said his 97 blazer could beat it in a race and that he'd bet his pink slip on it. Still waiting on that race lol. He does however tell all his freinds that I own a 2000 z28 and am only 21. I think it's a redneck status thing I think. My mom says it's terrible to ride in and the seats are too hard. The only good thing they seem to think of the car is that fact that they finally are starting to beleive I am a decent driver.

i disagree. i think he hit the nail on the head. Its not about age. **** my girlfriends 65 year old father cant wait until we finish the ls1 swap in her 84 camaro. The OP's parents see the fbody as a lower class car, which it has gotten that reputation by the misinformed.

My father is 45 and he would prefer something else, but he doesnt look at our cars with disgust. Its just not for him. It sounds like the OP's parents look down at his car, like its beneath them.

When I first brought the car home my mom tells me, "did you buy the matching casket too" lol . She's terrified of the fact that I have a fast car

My parents like it though, they're not really car people at all so they don't really care much for it, only to make sarcastic comments like "you wash thing thing more than you do yourself" or tells people that my fiancee is marrying me and 3 cars

My dad loves the car, but I can tell my mom has some kind of grudge against it; I guess because of my exhaust!

My dad loves it. My mom on the other hand, not so much. Kinda like rebelZ28's story, I pinned it in second and she freaked out sayin I'm not allowed to drive like that. Oh yea, everytime I'm telling her about a mod, I get the same lecture.
I bought it... I'll drive it how I want!

My Dad has absolutely no problem with the car, except when I leave the cutout off . My Mom on the other hand doesn't really like the car all that much, and just like the rest of you, she calls it "A Cop Magnet" and "You're going to kill yourself in that thing".

It's actually kind of funny, because I've never been in an accident, and so far she's had 3 fender benders and an encounter with 2 "Bob's Barricades".

Women can't drive well enough and worry way too much.

my mom only disliked the car becuase i spent so much damn money on it. otherwise she liked it.

she'd tell how fun it is to drive (50year old woman driving a 6spd ls1... go figure)

my father - he's my WORST financial advisor... he loved the car as a 6spd (i went to a TH-400... he didn't like driving it anymore).

then i sold it and he was like, "you're going to regret it." "i STILL don't know why you sold it..."

i was $9k in the hole with my credit card, didn't have the car paid off, and an oustanding loan that i used for a new motor. ...and i only make 12.6 an hour

lol. i HAD to sell the damn thing!

back on topic - both my parents are very supportive and liked the car.

My dad loves my car.

What he hates are the 4 tickets(speeding and tint) and all the money I throw into it.
