how many of your parents hate your cars?

i know mine do..they own expensive **** like a benz s500 or some luxurious lexus sc430..and when they look at my car i can tell they have a feeling of disgust..

Anybody get the same or is it just me?

Interesting, I have the exact opposite problem

My 65 year old pop looks for any excuse he can find so he can drive my car. He's always asking if he can take it to get washed, or have the oil changed.

My mom on the other hand has never driven a V8 in her life so I think she's just a little intimidated

They only hate it when i start it up or come home late at night. I think that goes for all the neighbors around me as well

My dad has actually helped work on the car before (headers) and my mom tries to act interested and asks about all the new things im putting on the car and asks what they do. Then tells me to let my brother watch so he can learn about cars

Sounds like you got parents that, if they werent your parent, you wouldnt like them. Sounds like they think they are better than others. ARROGANT. Not hatin', just observing. Dont take it they wrong way. Probably good people, just a little "upper class".

They are just an older crowd and dont appreciate these cars the same way we do. They are not being arrogant in anyway whatsoever, they just prefer something else.

I cant hardly get my mom in it but god she loves it. Sometimes i catch her just taking my keys and cranking it up and ripping the throttle every now and then.

The day i brought mine home my dad took the keys and hot rodded it around town hahaha. He used to race cars when he was younger. My mom likes it but scared to drive it.

the whole thing is im from this country but my parents arent.. u know..well i cant say my parents.. i mean my dad.. my dad likes ''quality'' like when he sat in my T/A ... u shouldve heard the **** he said... idk...it kind of makes me feel low when im a fkin kid.. give me 25,000 and ill buy something decent u know...They like bmw..mercedes.. not pontiac and chevrolet.. just foreigners to u...just like asian parents usually only get toyota..just the way **** works..idk..i try to defy them and stick up for the american V8's

my parents dont like me modding it while i'm in school. But that is understandable.....b/c when i start doing something to my car in the middle of a semester i end up dropping classes or doing shitty.

BUT.......when i first bought the car my dad took it for a drive while i was at a friends house. We were all standing outside shooting the **** when he came rolling up. He stopped in the middle of the road, revved it up and dumped the clutch! He smoked the tires pretty good! I was actually impressed. Of course when i got home he told me not to be doing what he just did. And then about a month ago i got my whole family to come watch me at the drag strip. And my mom was actually CHEERING for me while i was going down the 1/4 mile! I love it!

My mom loves it, she's had a 78 Z28 that my dad bought her as a wedding gift, then in 94 she bought a black v6 that was supposed to end up my first car when I turned 16 in 1999 or she'd have got the Z28 for herself. She has only seen this one once since I got it and said it sounded bad ***... (Longtubes and a ORY, no catback lol)

My dad on the otherhand has lost appriciation for modified cars, his take is if you mod them they break. This coming from a man who's first car was a modded 71 Mach 1... I can tell sometimes he likes it though, just wouldnt ever drive something like it himself anymore...

I remember when i was younger my mom would take me cruising in her 70' vette she was the one who taught me to drive stick too. And she loves my camaro almost as much as I do!

My parents both like my car, my dad calls it "the hot rod" lol. They seem to be amazed by how clean I keep it because I tend to be some what of a slob inside their house. The first time I took my mom for a ride I punched it in second at about 4 grand and just about gave her whiplash. ( she wasn't too impressed with that haha)
