Unfortunately no. You have to re-pin the entire pcm (160+ pins), switch to the 99+ style plastic fuel tank & sender, find a 99+ gauge cluster (note that mileage is stored in the cluster), water temp sensor/wiring is different....it's a monster headache, but there have been a very small number of people that have pulled it off successfully. If you do some searches in the pcm/tuning section, there have been several threads on it recently.

Best thing about the negativity out there about 98s is that it makes them much cheaper to buy. I got my loaded 6 speed SS for 10.5k w/47k on it back in Feb of 04. The Z for 8.3k w/18.5k on it last May.
Both great cars, no oil use issues, piston slap, etc. I'd have no problem recommending a 98.

I bought my 98 SS w/ 61k miles (mint) in Aug/06 for around $10,000.

Holy crap where are you guys finding deals like these? Around my area, you're lucky to find something for 10,000 that doesnt have over 90k miles on it. And standard tranny? Forget about it.

I have no complaints about either of my '98s... I bought my Formula with 76K miles in 2003 for $9500, and the WS6 with 26K miles in October 2005 for $12K.
I had a '99 also... and the difference between them isn't that extreme.

I owe a debt of gratitude to all the people ******* the 98s for their "problems".
