I'm sure this has been discussed but i couldnt find it, is it really worth it to take the jack and spare tire out? I mean i see how less weight is good, but its over the rear, so wouldnt that maybe help w/ traction a little?

with 2 people in the back traction is still limited....so what would an extra 40-50 lbs be by itself...its good if you happen to get a flat...but thats your call....i took mine out as soon as i got it...

I've been playing with this idea for months. I still have it in my car. I will be pissed if i get a flat and dont have it but i would love to lose the weight. My car also has a heavy *** system in it.
So it can afford to go on a diet.

im gonna laugh when you guys that took it out have a flat...... if you have enough power, you shouldnt have to worry about 40-50lbs. at the track i could see the use to do it. but not driving around on the street, just my .02

I have mine out, i also have a heavy *** box in the back so i figured why not take it out to even me back out. Plus if i ever get a flat in town. I can just call someone to get it. Now if i went on a trip, id def have it in.
oh and as someone stated earlier, dont fill your car all the way up. i keep mine at half full, yea you fill up more but you feel alot lighter.
