Default issues starting-not the starter

ok so my car has been acting up over the past week or so. it seems to be having problems starting with the key(i can still push start it with ease). i pulled the starter had it checked, it was ok but i replaced it anyways.the weird thing is sometimes it will start with the key and other times it is dead in the water. when it wont start nothing happens it sounds normal i have good battery power, the lights don't dim, it just wont start. im at a loss here so any suggestions on what it might be is greatly appreciated. i dont get much time to drive my car anymore so when im home i want it to run.

Well on my LT1 car it did this, no clicking or anything but everything still worked ex. lights, CD player, dome light, everything. But it just clicked whenever i turned the key. It turned out to be the ignition switch on it. Once the new one was put on no problems since. Check your grounds from your battery, alt. etc. etc.

These are probably obvious things but....

Can you jump start it when you experience this problem?
Have you removed, cleaned and reconnected you battery cable's?

Might need to be cleaned, tightened or maybe a new battery cable..

That's what it sounds like to me..
