I usually wave if an f-body or vette catches my eye. Most of the f-body guys wave, but the majority of vette guys stare straight ahead like I don't exist. Haha. Doesn't bother me though. I have a vette in my garage too They wave when I drive that.

I give a thumbs up to all f-body owners. If they are going the same direction as me I try to pull along side and compliment their car. Hell, I give thumbs up to all GM, Ford, & Mopar muscle.

well depends on the vette, most of them have same engine we do, then some LS2 and LS6, but i understand being a tighter group because i only wave at T/A and SS generally unless vette waves at me

I've belonged to so many Fbody clubs over the years, odds are at least a few of them are people I know LOL

The rest are just freaked out that someone is probably stalking them.

Always wave to F-body owners up here and vice versa. Looking forward to the meets again from Spring until end of Summer - good cars and great people.

I remember seeing this thread awhile back, and maybe I'm a car snob. BUT here is my story...

I got my Trans Am about three weeks ago, I'm pretty proud of this thing, everyone has Mustangs and imports around here, so on top of having a gorgeous car, I have one that not many people around here drive. So yesterday I'm out crusing before my pre-nightshift nap and I see a Firebird, transit plates, black, and they give me this big cheesy smile and wave. I was pissed, not really because somebody has the same car it was like an obnoxious "Hey, I got the same car as you" wave, Anyway, maybe I'm talking for nothing, but I didn't wave back, end of story.

Why do you care so much that someone has another black Trans Am, and assume their wave was meant to convey this in a smug manner?

Me, I'm GLAD to see other people with the same car, because in a world full of differences I enjoy feeling a sameness and a connection with others every now and then.

I sure as hell throw a wave to other F-bodies.. but only the ones I can sort of tell deserve it. There is one z28 i see all over the place I just laugh at when I see him, with his gangster lean to the side like he is shifting when its an A4.

I wave to tons of cars though or give a thumbs up. Any kind of restored old muscle car, clean LT1 & LS1 cars, vettes, even truck guys if they give me a thumbs up. I'll give a thumbs up to Mach 1's, 5.0's, Terminators etc. The GT guys always just give me this look so i don't both with them.

Not generally a waver unless I know the person but I have noticed lately that bikers, no matter if on a Gixxer or a Fat Boy wave whenever they pass each other. I guess it's kind of cool but the only people in my area that have f-bodies are my friends and we usually just flip each other off.....hehe
