Default The problems never stop : (

It is mechanically running perfect... it's just that as of late the odometer has a habit of jumping up every time I go near the damn thing. I am de-valuing it

You can't be serious.

Glad to hear the car is running well though.

i seen the title on the index and KNEW exactly who started the thread........think about it this way, your only devaluing it if you plan to sell it. just throw another cluster in there and rack the miles up on that one, then if you decide to sell it, throw your other one back in and bada bing bada boom......."low mileage"

Yeah, anyone who buys a basic F-body as an investment is an idiot. The only cars that might go up significantly in value are the Berger cars, 1LEs, Super rare option cars, certain tuner cars, etc. You have a run of the mill WS6 with almost 80K on it. It lost the low mileage value about 60-70K ago. Just drive it.

Not all of us low mileage guys are concerned with the value of the car. Some of us just like to have a perfect condition weekend toy. As much as some people think that their 70k mile daily driver cars are "mint condition", they just aren't. You can't keep something mint that sits outside most of the time, gets parked at the mall, and gets driven to work each and every day in all types of weather. Sure, you can drive a car regularly and keep it nice, but it's the details that separate excellent condition from just good condition. And the details on an average/high mileage car just don't look like the details on a low mileage garage queen.

Best option: Own two. One for regular driving, and one for weekend car shows and cruise night events.

haha BLK WS6, good to see the OCD posts are BACK!

and Im 100% with RPM, Only a few of my buddies understand why I put on 1500mi a yr, and its for exactly the reason he gave. At ANY time, i can open the garage, and there lays a show condition car THAT at the same time i dont feel bad to put on a few miles on in good weather(by few i mean like up to 100 in a day or something!). I was kinda questionin the logic of only driving it minimally, but really i use it whenever it suits what Im doing for that night, the golden rule for me being it doesn't get parked if it can be helped. Now after 4 years, im happy with the way the car sits, and don't wish the milage on there had been any less or more, All superb miles on it

The only miles on my Camaro are miles of fun and enjoyment; times when I don't *have* to be driving, but when I *choose* to be driving purely for pleasure. No nasty commuter driving in the snow on the expressway for 30 miles getting a powerwash of salt off the tires of a nearby semi, or any of that crap. To me it's just a waste to drive this car unless I'm enjoying it, and frankly, who the hell enjoys being stuck in a winter traffic jam for 3.5 hours at 10mph? For those occasions, I'd rather be in a more comfortable, roomy car; like my Bonneville.

I drive purely for pleasure as well... it just happens to be to the tune of 12-15K a year, lol. I can't get enough of my car!!! I love it. I hate seeing it sit in the snow though.
