I say wires because it is kind of an investment. If you have had your car for bit you are likely not to really look at the tach because it's so slow and you can remember/feel how your car is on the street. If you visited the track regularly and street raced every weekend, maybe the shift light. To me it's a goodie thing though. I'd stash some dough personally!

Get the shift light first IMO. A lot of people still use their stock wires on a H/C car, but they almost all have a shift light. The shift light seems more feasible, especially if you are racing a lot. But really, both combined shouldn't be more than $120. Any reason not to pick them both up?

I say wires. Just incase your car needs fresh ones.

The shift light is kinda like a "luxury" item. haha

I have had my Raptor since winter of 05 and I couldnt imagine life without it. Once you have a shift-lite, you'll wonder how you ever did without it.

Well, in that case, go for the shift light. Before I got mine, I was paranoid about always hitting the limiter, so I always shifted early. Who knows how many revs I left on the table because I was shifting too soon.
