lmao, sweet, like i said, my stock lt1 gets 87 whenever i really need it, gas is 3.25 plus in my rural area I'm not paying 3.50 plus for 93...it makes no difference IMO

Same here. I've had my TA for a little over 2 years, and have filled up at a BP everytime.

I use VALERO whenever I can. They are American-owned, based in San Antonio, traded on the NYSE, plus their founder is an alum of the university I attend. He donated a bunch of money to our business school.

Long story short: VALERO 89 octane.

valero 93

i used to gas up at shell religiously, then once day i said fkk them becuase they were 15 cents higher (same distance from either one from the house) and went to valero, my gas milage actually increased from switching. since then been using valero, also helps that their store was alot more nicer and cleaner

Ain't that the truth.

For the guys in New Jersey, I can't believe your story. I hate going there and not being able to pump my own gas. Your stories reminded me of this:

Not that its much different here.

I used to work for a tanker company...

BP Ammco 93 is some of the cleanest fuel out there...Whenever we'd drop the fuel the sightglass would show clean clear fuel...most of the other stuff was yellowish..

Also..Never Ever Ever buy gas from your lil mom's and pops stores..they 90% of the time buy old gas thats been sitting for awhile..

As far as gas coming from all the same places...our Hess product came soley from hess and got shipped to hess only...

Yes alot of the other stuff is this and that, but there are diffrent things that get added in and such.So technically it is not all the same...

BTW..I am sure you all know this already, but never buy fuel til about 45min after the truck got done dropping...And buy fuel in the cool morning, when its more dense

Sorry to bring up what seems to be a dead post, but this guy has some VERY useful info that we all should go by.

It's not all about the additives either, it's also about whether your gas station gets the first hit of the tanker truck, or gets the last stop of the tanker. It can make a large difference in quality of fuel. It's the same as airports, you get what you pay and look for. If you notice, Southwest is cheaper, but their stupid counters and gates are ALWAYS at the end of the freaking airport!
