I think we should start calling other peoples cars the wrong names. See how they like it. People are either just dumb or very lazy. Thats the conclusion that I would come to. Just look at my door badge, "TRANS AM" duh. I know what you all are saying. Ive been called a Corvette before. I guess I just considered that a compliment.

One of the first times I drove my TA some female complimented me on my new Corvette. 
I really do not care if people know what my car’s model is or if they know anything about the car. People have different interests. If they are not interested, I do not bore them with a lecture on f-bodies. If they ask, though, I will tell them whatever I know. I think you guys who expect other people to know what your car is are not able to see beyond the little box you live in.

the mustang is a way more known name than a camaro / firebird / trans am. thats why no one ever confuses my car..plus a camaro might be faster ( ls1 ) but my mustang looks better and more people want to see my car then my friends 96 z28,..because it's a mustang =]

and the only difference between all of them is the hood, fenders, and spoiler...

Yea everyone just callls them firebirds.. and they think the firebirds are the fastest versions.. most dont even remember the trans ams or formulas.. afterall.. lets see they are 20 somethings.. formulas and trans ams were stopped in the mid 80s?
DId they go with formulas into the 90-92's? guess they did.. the anniversary edition one and such gah.. oh well forget my thinking..

still didnt list the firebird hehe.. and in that case engine not to mention there are lid differences and umm suspsension.. but im assuming appearance.. formulas and firebirds didnt come standard with t tops did they?

i will say, i have a Firebird Formula A4.... i think i got it the worst.
I correct people when they call it a trans am, and say no its a firebird formula.
when called a firebird i add formula. when i refer to it, i just call it the formula.
i get the "too bad its a auto" crap all the time... it doesnt bother mea anymore.
on a side note, my g/f's little sister calls it the batmobile, and i've had it called a vette a couple times, which i just take as a compliment.

i just graduated H.S. and believe it or not everyone knew my what my WS6 was. I NEVER, not once had it call a camaro or anything like that. Everyone knew it was a Trans Am, but for some odd reason one person started calling it this, so now everyone i know w/ no exceptions calls it "The Tranny" wtf? lol

I don't understand why T/A drivers are picky when their car is called a Firebird. It's a Firebird no matter what kind of engine it has. The Firebird began as a V8 anyway.

People never cease to amaze me with their ignorance.....I'm sure even if you put huge letters down the side of the car saying what it was people would either still ask you or still screw it up or both.
