Default I know there are a lot of oil threads...but I need a for sure ANSWER!

I have tried the search...

I am using 10w-30 Mobil 1 in my 02 ws6 6spd. with 60k miles. And I now hear that its not that good anymore..and to use GC.

Well I hear to use 0w-30 of that stuff....ok good deal....but I head that some people tried it and it just made valvetrain louder...

If I were to switch to GC would it cause that?

And here is my main question..IF I DONT HAVE GC around here what oil should I use in its place? Mobil 1 or another? I want them in order of best to last according to weights, and according to my weather around here (Hot over here=108 Cold over here=30 degrees)

P.s GC=German Castrol.

Thanks in advance!

I don't see what the big deal is here?

Try the GC, if you don't like it, no problem, switch to another oil. Seems simple to me. I mean, you said it yourself:

but I head that some people tried it and it just made valvetrain louder
Some people have issues, some don't. What makes you think the answers in this thread will be any different?

Your headed in the right direction.

Go to you local autozone and pick up German Castrol 0w-30.

Enjoy

for the poster....try a thicker oil, but dont do some crazy 15w50 ****....if the thicker stuff doesnt quiet it down or solve your issues you could be looking at internal problems....nuff said

Lol, I need a "for sure answer" on a topic "I know there are alot of threads[about]"...

Try some different oils, see how you think it works/sounds. Then do an oil analysis, that's the only way to know "for sure".

I think there are enough oil threads on this board that even if we never started another oil topic ever again, there would still be more than enough info to last a lifetime.
