Must be a mis-print. That's not a '99 year model.

i guess you saw the headlights too, but i dont think they would lie about the year. maybe the rare lt4 but why the year. what would be the easiest way to see if it is a clone

It is not a 1999, more like a 1997. And that engine bay looks nasty, you would expect people selling a car to clean it now wouldn't you?

It's a misprint. If it's a true SS then it's either a 96 or 97, not sure if the LT4 was offered both years or not. I'm not sure if the LT1 body style SS's have the same ID marks as the 98+ SS's. The 98+ have the RPO codes WU8 for SS and the Y2Y for SLP options. I honestly couldn't tell you if the 96-97's have the same RPO codes. That hood doesn't look right to me, it kind of looks like an aftermarket hood to me, and it's not hard to swap motors so I'd be really causus before buying it. Post this in the Special edition section and someone should be able to tell you if it is or isn't a true LT4 SS.

Yea, that car is nasty under the hood. I DD my car and I keep it clean enough to eat off of. There are way too many confused people out there. They think they have something special when they don't. If they can't prove it with the RPO codes tell them to pull the oil pan and prove its an LT4.

Man, don't waste your time. It's not even a LT-4 motor. All LT-4 cars have a red intake manifold, you can plainly see the cast aluminum manifold under the air cleaner. Nothing more than a ragged out LT-1 SS. People kill me with these auctions. Just because you have a hurst shifter, dosen't mean you have a "hurst" transmission. Just because you have some crappy black ZR-1's does not mean they are "light weight", more like "more weight". And I have no clue why he thinks he has a LT-4, much less where he got the 1 of 93 made crap. The only true LT-4 powered camaro's to hit the street were in the 97' 30th SS's, which were white with orange stripes. If you'd like to find a nice car, try the classifieds here.

LT4 was only offered in 1997 on like 125 Anniversary SS's and some Firehawks. That engine bay is dusty as all hell. Find a 98-02 LS1 car and call it a day

Yes they are powder coated red. It is no LT4 IMO. Just a dirty ***, rode hard and put up wet LT1. That car is nasty as ****. Whomever owned it should be shot.

29 firehawks I believe and 100 SS'... simply because I'm bored and needed to point that out (EDIT: I'm slow as sin, fang beat me to it)

That thing is beat, look elsewhere. REAL LT4 cars are rare and I've seen them fetch good prices with low miles...

Aren't the LT4 SS models slightly quicker than a 98 SS LS1?
