Yea, even though I have soem bolt-on ls6 pieces, I still call it the LS1 since I havent changed anything on the block itself.

Maybe if I changed the heads Id call it a LSx. Shrugs.

haha great responses guys. If I made my own setup with LS2, L92, L76 stuff i'd just start calling it an LS5 or something.

I refer to them all as "Ls1 cars". If someone asks what I drive I tell them an "Ls1 car" thats all they need to know. If they ask what kind I tell them a T/A, if they don't know what an Ls1 is I educate them. Or if I see a F-body or Vette pass I'll say did you see that "Ls1 car".

I almost always refer to cars by color. I have an orange car, a black car, a green car, and a truck. My bro has a silver car, my dad has a gray car and a brown car, my bros girlfriends car is called that girls silver car. I also have big tarantula and lil tarantula. Im pretty creative.

I only mention LS1 if I'm talking to another person about cars. If they have an F-body or Corvette and they don't understand 'LS1', I switch to talking about basketball. Cause I don't know much about basketball, and they don't know much about cars.

If I hear someone talking about a F-car, I'll ask if it's a LS1 Car.
I go out to the Street Races around here, and all the Ricers won't **** with it. They used to mess with me when I had the LT1.. so I kinda felt special with it.
I guess I have to show the SVT Cobra guys that I have a LS1 and get them to play with it when I get it broke in..

I don't have an issue with say'n LS1. Usually if someone knows what I'm talking about they're worth talking to. ....It would be like a Ford guy say'n DOHC or SOHC to me.... At least I know what it stands for!

I try to talk to people about my motor and (especially ricers) would be like, " watch out for that guy, he's running a vette motor in his camaro." Thats usually where the conversation dies, f*ckin ricer d-bags.

You have no idea how many people around here have never seen a new F-body with a V8 in it from the factory.. no bull ****..

I had my LT1 in mine and that is all I heard.. "he swapped that Vette Motor in it.."
Probably will say the same thing when I get my LSX Stroker in..

Damn Rednecks need to get out of the Trailer from time to time and learn about what's dominating on the Road..

I will say something like... "yeah a 2000 LS1 Z28"... too many people just don't know. Even then if I say Z28 they say "oh you should have gotten an SS" or "my buddy has a WS6 that would smoke you".

I had one guy try to tell me that the 35th SS had an LS7 in it from the factory and that the WS6 had a W-style motor. So i stick to saying I have an LS1 Z28, if they know what that would be then they are worth talking to.
