Where I'm at I'm lucky if I see five LS1 z28/SS/TA a week. I'll see maybe 10 LT1's a week and it's usually the same ones. Rarely see a 6cylinder 98+ but about 25 or more of the 93-97 6 bangers a week. Lots of those beat up ones running around here in the summer.

I can't drive a mile without seeing a Mustang. I don't hate Mustangs, I had a brand new 88GT and loved it but there are a lot of em around here.

I live 1 mile away from one of the largest cities in the country (chicago). I drive 70 miles every day, and I might see 1-2 F-bodies from '98+ each day. About the same number of C5s. Of course this is during my daily commute, on the nice weather weekends I usually see more.

On the other hand, I probably see 3 times as many Mustangs from the '99-'04 era.

LOL. You have to include Firebirds in an F-body count. Maybe I should start saying mustangs are rare because I don't see Cobras very often.

That better be a Cobra you're getting or else your're downgrading.

F-bodies (Camaro, Firebirds, V6, V8 combined) are pretty rare compared to most other cars on the road. They don't make them anymore....

If you don't want GM or Ford, you could wait a year or two and go Dodge, that Challenger looks awesome.

As far Mustangs vs. F-bodies, WAY more Mustangs, it's not even close here. Some days, like today, I'll happen to see 2 or 3 Firebirds, but most of the time I only see 0-1 Firebirds a day a day. Camaros are a little more common. On the other hand, I don't think I've ever driven anywhere in my life and not seen a Mustang, they're everywhere.

.... I'd wait for the new Camaro before getting a Mustang.

Wow that logic makes a whole lot of sense!

"Yeah, they made 1,000,000+ Ford Tauruses over its production span, but it's a rare car since they don't make it any more!"

I live in the F-body capital of the world, and I see at least 5-10 every time I take a trip out. I see plenty of C5/C6's too, but rarely any Z06's (usually one or two a month).

it all the depends i have been to some small towns (40,000 - 60,000) and have seen a higher ratio of f-bodies especially in the south. But I also lived Queens New York and the f-body to mustang ratio is like 1 fbody for every 100 mustangs. I live in orlando now and in a day I see maybe 2 at most other trans ams or firebirds (some are the same ones i have seen all the time) but I see literally dozens of Stangs every day. At my jobs parking lot there is about 500 cars and I am literally the only Trans Am in it. When ever a coworker or friends tells me they finally saw a car that looks exactly like mine it is usually me hahaha. Now here in orlando the ricer to muscle ratio is about 100000000000000000000 rice burners to every 1 muscle car

Mustangs easily out-number the F-bodies here in central Arkansas..

Mustang = fthat.

how about a Cadillac CTS-V ??? if I could have any car, that's what I'd have. powerful like an f-body, but comfortable & classy.

You are doing the same thing I did. As soon as I sold my H/C 99SS to my brother-in-law..boom the rear went too! I would try to pick up a low milage 2003-2004 Cobra due to the ease of modding and they are a ball and EVRYBODY I run across loves them. Try going to an Autozone for anything and see the reactions from gear heads.

I concur. With a forged short block and a KB blowzilla(the 2.4L one) for the 3valve, you are talking near 650-700whp on PUMP gas. Those are Terminator numbers with KBs if not higher most of the time. Don't under-estimate the 3valve engine. It isn't like the shitty 2valve one...
