I just wonder why he is selling it Did he over rev it and bent a pushrod.. Im sure with those rims and wheels he hasnt hoked well enough to blow out the rear yet hehe.

Odds are any f body you pick up unless it has some crazy low miles on it. has been dogged on hard. So if you are truly worried about a car being driven hard or rough or like it was meant ot be, you may have to look for a super low miles, and expect to pay alot.

55000 isnt a lot of miles at all, just look under the car see if its leaking oil, trans, clutch, rear end... if its a stick make sure he put a stiffer clutch in it, auto well i dont know **** about autos...

520HP is no problem 7-8psi, my 7-9 psi turbo makes 550 75,000 miles. the price isn't bad either, you could probably talk him down some. i honestly wouldn't worry about a 55,000 mile LS1 even with a blower. go for it, you'll love it. you would have to do a hell of a lot to do any serious damage to an LS1 with 55,000 miles. like dragrace it all day every day, or way overboost it or run it way lean with the blower. but no carguy with this kind of car is going to do that. if there was a serious problem you would be able to spot it. when i bought my first f-body i made the guy dump the oil so i could check for metal and stuff. take a look at the oil on the dipstick see if its all black and nasty or if its still mostly clear. with 55,000 miles it should be mostly clear/amber.

I was kinda tired from work, but im almost positive those are accurate for 98.Sorry its not complete, but I just put the most common models. The numbers do change quite a bit when you start adding in all the options(V6,Convertibles,etc.)
I think its supposed to be light pewter, the other was sebring silver.

his was light pewter but he crashed it for its 4th time (used to be a race car) and when they mixed the paint it came out darker so its actually dark pewter now. Actually kind of a badass color

A total of 63 1998 Light Pewter Metallic cars were built for the GM fleet in order to allow the color to be available at start-of-production 1999. They were a mix of V6 coupes, convertibles, and Z28s(30). None were SS and none had Y3F Sport Appearance Package. All were driven by GM employees and most were disposed of through the GM auction program, which means GM dealers would have bought them for resale to the public.

Wow, I've been so busy with work I still haven't been able to give this guy a call, lol! I was wondering what kind of questions I should ask him about the car? Besides the obvious of course! It's still for sale too. It's been for sale for the last two months, so I'm thinking once my Vette sells and if the cars still available I may be able to talk him down quite a bit!!
