Would You Buy a Supercharged Trans Am?
There is a 98 WS6 Trans Am that just popped up in the local trader. I'll give you the details. It has about 55,000 miles on it, with 19" wheels. The ad doesn't specify the transmission. He says the supercharger was professionally installed and has all of the bills. Also, he says it's about 520hp. Is he full of bs? I'm currently trying to sell my Vette because I need more room, so I'll be looking for a Trans Am. The only thing that concerns me is that it may have been driven hard. I could be wrong. Would you guys buy a supercharged car?
Here's a pic...it looks really nice!

nice, even if it was driven hard its an LS1 it can handle it, as long as it was well maintained and takin care of it might be fine...give it a drive see if it feels good, have a mechanic look at it and verify

OMG i love SGMthat is a SWEET car. If he can show who installed the S/C and has receipts i'f say go for it. I'd take a modded car if it looked to be installed right. good luck and nice find...

Ok, back on topic. I personally would consider buying a SC'ed car. I would inspect it carefully, require service/mod documentation, and scrutinize the owner very carefully. Good luck.

You can always buy it and put it back to stock. Sell the car and the modded parts and make a killing.
But you never know til you test drive it. Could be barely running with damage or could be mint like he said.

Id go for it, but be prepared for the worst, such as if the engine blows make sure your ready to replace it, it might not be likely but its still a possibility with mods like that, and people dont instal a supercharger to drive it like a grandma
