hey this is a real toughy because vettes are pretty badass cars, but so are T/As and T/As are alot more rare, vettes are as bad as mustangs now days but theres 3 birds in 90 miles here... if i get a vette ill be getting one with an LS2-6 because i dont want to switch from a rare LS1 to a popular LS1... whats your take on this? and would i be better off selling my car then using that as one BIG *** down payment?

If it were me, I would only sell/trade the LS1 F-body to move up to an '05+ Vette. Otherwise, it's just not worth it, IMO.

As a street car, I wouldn't go back to an Fbody

I will be buying another Fbody in the future to turn into a track/drag car

as you will see I feel that our cars are worth more cause they are harder to find in good condition plus they dont make them anymore
they will ALWAYS make and have vettes

I have though about it many times myself, I can never pull the trigger. After working so hard to mod and keep my T/A in great condition I think I would die if I let it go. The best thing is to wait till its paid off and get a vette and have both. As 99horseslayer said a low millage good condition 4th gen f-body will become more and more scarce as the years pass. You will allways be able to go out a pick up a vette. JMHO

what other car have they ever made so many of and then out of no where just stopped.

im sure you wont be able to just waltz up and pick one off the lot
they will be hard to get ahold of everyone wants one
the way I see it I already have a car that is hard to find and everyone wants

I say hold off and be the first to get an '09 Camaro. If that isn't an option then I would hang on to your car. 'Vettes are over rated and I used to never see them but once in awhile. Now days there is one at every stop light.

im on the waiting list towards the top though is the thing, but our cars are so rare its almost not worth it for an everday vette, dont get me wrong i love vettes but there everywhere... im going to hold off and stick with my bird and once its paid off ill get a vette or the camaro because i asked for that camaro around 05-06 and then they post poned it...

Id rather have a paid off fbody, so I could waste money on a forged motor and a twin turbo kit and whatever else.

if u got the extra cash for a vette and mod it how u want then go for it.
u may see them at every light but thats because that person stepped up and got what they wanted and im sure they love it.
