Default Daily Driving a Supercharged Car

I'm just a little curious. Would you daily drive a supercharged car? It's only got 50,000miles on it and the charger was professionally installed. What kind of questions should I ask the owner?

well i have a 104,000 mile supercharged car.. its perfectly fine. If your not on it, then its just like a regular car but even when you get on it , the only thing id worry about is gas mileage..and cops of course

But other than that, its fine

I'm thinking about buying one. I just wonder what good questions I should ask the owner. The car is about 1 and a half hours away, so I want to be sure.

well ask if the supercharger oil was every changed, which it should be. I guess check for normal maintenance. What psi its at and if the car can handle it. If it has a built bottom end. idk, like basic things..ask how long the charger has been on the car for.

Ask for receipts showing when the charger was installed and by who

If you can find out who installed or at least who tuned it would be a big help. Also, if its running like 10lbs of boost or something like that might throw a red flag! I daily drive mine, but just don't have a chance to really get into it, so it's just like a regular car. It would probably be helpful to find out what kind of sc, Procharger or Vortech and then hit the Forced Induction section and see what kink of issues people are having with those. I bought mine over a month ago, 11 hrs away, and have no regrets so far so don't be shy!

I just got off the phone with the owner. In the ad it didn't specify which tranny it has. It turns out it's an auto, which is no good for me. Darn it!!!

If it has a vortec, ask for the serial...over at vortec they can run the serial like a carfax and see when it was rebuilt, sold...etc. I dont know if this also applys to prochargers as well.

just my two pennies

Daily drive, as in using this car to go to work, school, etc? I'd say forget it, at least as a daily driver. If you had built the car then you'd know how the car is mechanically. Even if this current owner claims the car was professionally built and taken care of, how do you know? And if there's one thing you wouldn't want to inheirit, it's a motor with a blower that's been hammered on. Finally, if you're depending on this car to live your life, it's just far too risky. Buy a car with little to no 'mods on it and build it up yourself, just to be sure...
