great price, but as said before, change the rod bolts/bearings. we've had members on this forum that have bought wrecked cars and the motor threw a rod/spun a bearing much earlier in the engine's life than normal. the reason just may be that the impact from the collision knocked things a little loose. remember, getting thrown off a millimeter inside an engine can be the difference between perfection and disaster. not trying to scare you, but the weakest link inside an LS1 may be the bearings. now is the PERFECT time to put some high grade aftermarket rod bolts/bearings in there along with hardened pushrods.

it also wouldn't hurt to replace the oil pump since '98's were known to have oil pump failures. i know...there goes the price...but it's A LOT easier to change before you install the engine than after!

my car has 100k miles on it now and uses 1 quart of oil every 3000 miles. i already have an intake and rod bolts i'm waiting to use on what ever i do. i was thinking of swapping motors and doing a cam swap at the same time. what is my stock motor worth minus accessories? its a '99 model with 100k miles.
