Is it worth the $8450 or should I try to knock a couple hundred more off?

i say you go for it.. try for 8,000 tell her 98's had faulty such and such and you will have to drop at least a grand when you get it to fix this... yadda yadda ya. So id offer her 8,000 and if she doesnt take it then try for 8,200. Or just by it. I think its a good buy. Gives you a good platform under 10grand.

Yeah I noticed that as well. I am going to run a carfax but am waiting for someone to look at it for me to make sure it is worth the money and nothing else is wrong.

Dude the car looks good. The problems seem minor but like you said tell her since you didn't know about the window and the spot you need some more money deducted from it. BTW also 98's aren't the ideal year but don't let that bother you. My 98 TA has 138,859 on it right now and still put down 332hp down thru a 3500 Torque converter. Also before i purchased it had seen a pretty life Good Luck and keep us posted

This one does look funny. There are no pleats in that one section yet the pleats running into it are tight. Thats a funny wear pattern if I say so myself! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

At least you can tell it really was female driven- hair tie on the shifter and hairsray in the backseat

Yeah thanks man. The chick is kind of weird. Anyway, I found a 99 Z28 with all the goodies in Colorado. It has 59k on it and if the guy accepts my offer of $9500 I am driving out there. The pictures of this one look really nice. A ton better than the one I started this thread with. I will keep you all updated. Thanks to all who responded.

Ok so I got the guy down to $9500 for the 99. It's got almost 59k on it. An older gentlemen in his 50's owns it and bought it in 2000 with 20k on it. Says there is just the normal little rock chips here and there but you'll have that with any car. One of the front fenders was replaced because his wife backed into it in the garage. He also replace the rear pinion seal and ignition control module. Those are the only things that have been replaced. So does this sound like a decent deal? I plan on leaving tomorrow to pick it up. Hopefully I can get my cousin to go with me so we can trailer the car back to Iowa but not sure if that is going to happen or not. Anyway, opinions on the deal? Thanks all.

Good call on the garage. Didn't even think about that. I am just worried about driving all the way out there and finding something wrong with it. Just have to man up and say what the hell I guess.
