id go for the 99 just because im not a fan of the factory kit on the 98 besides its got less miles and its newer if that matters at all either way your gonna get an awesome car

me personally, 98 was the year I wouldnt even consider when I was looking for one. Different heads, PCM, and a few other various things. They are pretty much the vintage LS1 already. As far as the price, thats your call. Weight it out again other similar LS1 cars out there.
