LS6 intake a good deal?

my boy wants to give me his ls6 intake for 250 dollars off his 01 ss for my 00 ss how much extra horse do they put to the wheels?

Sounds like a great deal!!!!! He's probably jumping up to the FAST manifold.
I would buy it, but you would have to put an egr delete.

yea he is getting the fast intake! r those a lot better? where do i get an egr delete? and what is that...

EGR delete is something you remove from the car. Fast intake is better for more power down the road. For 250 dollars that intake is a steal,buy it NOW.

$250 is a good price for the LS6. It will add about 10rwhp over the LS1. I sold mine for $350 when I got the FAST. The FAST really only makes more power if you have H/C.

I bought a used ls6 IM and ported TB together for $350, and that was a great deal. I say go for it.

ive seen a lot of 300-325 price range ls6s on here lately... i think its because of all the new intakes coming onto the market...

I'd first double-check the GM part# to ensure you don't already have one on your car. $250 is a great price on it, especially if it includes the coolant line.

He has an LS1 intake, a '00 did not come with an LS6 intake I dont believe, anyone else can correct me if I am wrong. To OP you will like it... i've actually heard that the Fast is not a "huge" difference especially for the price.... the LS6 will definately help you up top.
