Well i am assuming your having traction issues with those 60' times. Cut better 60's and you should be low 8's. I ran a 8.5 bone stock with a 1.9 60' so get to work on those 60's and you'll have some pretty respectible times

Most tracks in heads up racing the R/T's dont matter. The time starts when you start movin.

what kinda tires do you have? are you just flooring it off the line? can you tell when you have tire spin? with those mods you should be doing better times

Don't worry about it man.
I just went to the track yesterday for the first time and my best time was:

R/T- .929
60'- 2.198
1/8- 8.371 (88.68MPH)
1/4- 12.835 (109.63 MPH)

My car is cammed and it puts down 382whp and only managed that time. Practice, practice, practice..
Next time I run it, I'm gonna start off easy because all I do is spin at first...
Good luck.

Yea, reaction time doesn't factor into your ET. Definitely get the 60' down and you'll be in pretty good shape.

It's all about that 60 ft time. Just work on those launches and the lower times will come. You already showed improvement your 2nd run so just keep at it.

Yeah, reaction time at every track I've seen is simply for the driver's knowledge. Doesn't affect your time if you are just running trials

My last pass was:

2.184 60'
8.558 @ 86.96 1/8
13.087 @ 108.72 1/4

That was about 3/4 throttle off the light with a small amount of wheel hop and getting into it once I got moving. I wanted 12's so bad I mashed it the next pass and sat still spinning for a good 3 seconds, haha. I didn't even stop at the booth for my slip. Had to be 15-17 seconds.

I'm curious if street tires become more slick with each pass because the first two were wheel hop, the last was rear end going back and forth sitting still. Granted I put it to the floor right away. I couldn't hear the announcer in the tower, but a friend said he shouted 'WHOOOOAAAA!'. Blah.

yah dude those numbers sound right as long as your spinning but with that 60' ft time u definately are. just get a pair of drag radials and ull be hitting under 2 secs with good driving and curious what temp was it outside when u ran
