Default Can't Find New 2006 GTO for Under $30K?????

I have been calling around all of NJ looking for a Torrid Red, A4. I called 4 dealerships and none will go below $30K for the car, that does not include tax or all that other BS they make you pay. How is it people are getting cars for $29 with tax and such in the price, yet the NJ, PA, and CT area, no one will go below $30 just for the car! It's outrageous, I'm sorry. The car will be 2 years old, and the dealer tells me "its still a new car, no one has taken title." A 2006 I do not consider new, even if it had 100 miles on it. Am I being retarded or should I keep shopping around. It is getting annoying to not be able to find one for a decent price.

LMAO...Wow the dealerships still wanna gouge the f' outta a car that is now 2yrs old..

No wonder there are still 2 -3 "new" GTO's on these car lots..

I could imagine the car woulda have gone over better if the bastards didn't decide to add there own little "fee" to the car

Look as far as 8-10 hour drive away from your home. Then make the deal over email/phone and buy a 1-way plane ticket for $150 and fly into the city and drive it home.

I went to a dealership, he had 4 GTO's. All auto's. 4 different colors. Anyway, I test drive it, talk to guy for like 30 min, then he gets the price for me. Out the door......$36,500 including tax and BS fees (BS fees are the DOC fee which is complete crap, $250 for new plates, are you joking me, window etching was $250, which is **** cause my dad puts it on at a honda dealership with a piece of paper, takes about 10 min). He would not even come down $1 on the price. Dealers try to rip you off so bad. No wonder he has 4 on his lot.

Boy I'd say..
$21,000 ?...For a new '06?
They must've really overdone it on the supply side.

+1 on the dealers overpricing... they overpriced them when they were new, and they still are overpriced and now they are almost a 2 year old car. I looked at an 04 GTO M6 before i bought my camaro at the local pontiac dealer here, it was IBM with a 6 spd and red leather... had almost 35K miles on it... this was in 2006 mind you... and they wanted 23K for it... i laughed at them and walked out the door.
