i agree i have had all kinds of people ask me what does it register i say 200mph they then say will it do it, i say its gioverend at 186 lol , u can get a 200 mph for the T/A's

The only sad thing about that...Is that the X5 4.8is is limited to 155..That always pisses off my freinds with 03/04 cobras when i tell them that i work on SUV's that can go just as fast as there cobra's...And **** come to think of it..my car cant go much faster than that..damn germans

Now thats funny. A regular non AWD 330 cant even keep up and its got the bigger 3.0 and no AWD drag on the drivetrain. I have owned many BMWs and would definately consider another one, but even my M3 couldnt keep up with an LS1 in a straight line drag race. Now the new M3s can come close, but a 325Xi, that is too funny. Dont try to keep up on an exit ramp though, unless you have a lot of suspension.

Incidently, when I had my LT1 Trans Am I had a guy in about a mid 90s 323i, that I didnt even know was trying, pull up beside me at a light and talk about "LT1 this buddy" and how he just smoked me and GM is slow junk. I didnt even see him there til he started mouthing off after he supposedly just beat me. So when the light turned green again I proceded to light up the drag radials and left him, quite literally, in a cloud of dust and tire debris. I shifted to second and he was no longer in sight. He gets to the next light an has his radio blasting and windows up and pretending to look the other way. So by passenger(a real wise ***) proceded to walk over to his car and knock on his driver window. Flipped the guy 2 birds and grabbed his crotch and said "LT1 that buddy". I can gaurantee that punk wont be doing anything that stupid again anytime soon. Hell he might own an f-body now. he certainly got owned that day.

Yesterday when I was stopped at a traffic light in D.C., there were some people trying to collect money, and one young boy (probably 10-12yrs old) approached the car and asked me "Can that thing go 200MPH?" I laughed and said "No, only 163."

I had a 79 Trans Am with a 100mph speedo and this person that was born out of the really shallow end of the gene pool says to me " It only goes 100?" What an asshat. I didn't have the patience to explain to him that I was on my 4th speedo cable because it pinned at like where mph was on gauge and just snapped everytime I broke 130mph with car.

Awesome! An old friend of mine has that year. It used to have the 6.6 and his speedo was donkey raped because of the same reason. After he pegged it and it kept going past the 100mph mark i had to compare the angle of the needle past 100mph against the same angle on the top side of the speedo to see about how fast he was going. my 68 camaro registers 120 and it barely needed it

my parents bought a t/a gta new back in 87 and it had one of the 1st fully digital dash boards anyone around here ever seen.....it came up with 188 when the key was cycled.....it had seen 140 of it but I dont think 188 was possible......my buddies thought it was bad *** though when my mom would hit the kmh button.....

my sister still has the car one of the few left in this area......

I was 16yo got pulled over in my Grandma's Olds Delta 88, the cop comes up and says "you know how fast you were going?" this is what I said, not trying to be funny, "I really don't sir the speedo only goes up to 85"
