Why do people always ask?
What do people that don't have fast cars always ask "What does it register??"
What the hell difference does it make? My friends always ask that when cars come up in the conversation and I always shake my head. Hell, there are slow imports with 160 on the dash, but that doesnt mean they will get anywhere near it. Do your friends ask that? It might just been the retarded college students I hang out with.

Yea my buddy had a very small CC snowmobile that for some reason had a tach that went to like 120 mph. This thing was so slow id be surprised if it could hit 60 mph being dropped off the edge of the grand canyon. His reasoning was that why would they put 120 mph on the spedo if it couldnt hit it? So then I replied well what if I had a car with a factory tach that went to 500 mph, would the car be able to go that fast and he goes "well...maybe I mean why would they put in a tach like that if it couldnt hit it?"

I once had a girl say her BMW X5 (SUV type thing) was faster than my Z28 because it had a 200MPH speedo. Its just one of those things that you have to walk away from. If somebody really thinks that then they're too stupid to help.
