Did You Seriously Just Break!?
I was on my way home last night, well about a block away from my friends house, and im gonna make a left to a big street and i press the gas, haha "As Usual." But then the pedal hit the floor and i didnt move, I just sat there idling like "whats going on?" So I reverse, "Idle" my way back to my friends house. I pop the hood and we see the the problem, we all seriously laugh and wonder if this has ever happened to anybody, ever! the problem was that the plastic broke off...Check the pics. Our quick solution was some zip locks so i could get home, Im gonna see if my friend has a spare one lying around today...
Edit: Anyone know what the part number is so i can order another cable?

same thing basically happened to me last week only it was the little lead pellet that came off the cable itself as i was screwing around with an impala SS shifted into 2nd floored it and nothing
i had to idle in gear for a while until i could get rolling down a hill and up to 30 mph so the cruise would work i thanked my lucky stars for having a manual that day i would still be trying to idle that thing home

hahah! That happened in my old 80 camaro. The damn cable snapped off when I was going up a hill. Thank god the idle was set to the moon and it had enough torque to pull itself into a parking lot.

Post up some pics of the Lokar cable installed if you got it. How adjustable is that thing? I have one on the Holley on my Blazer and I like it and its very adjustable. Does it have a little allen that you unscrew to tighten it up or loosen it?
