When is enough...enough?
I just spent about $4,000 on my Z28 in less than a week buying a set of TTII's and an X1cam. Last week before I bought the wheels and cam I was telling my wife that this will be it. Ha Ha Ha, fast forward to me driving home from MTI today after the cam install. Now I have visions of putting heads to squeeze out a few more ponies. I know that we all feel the same way, we just want more. It is like crack I say. When will it all end?

I have to limit myself not b/c im in school, but as soon as I get out and have money to play with it more honestly it will probally never end, as alot of people on here ill probally switch setups goin from F/I to H/C to N20 or whatnot, thats half the fun is just playing with it,which is why I really dont see why some people dont work on there own cars

It doesn't end ... you'll just get used to the amount of power you're making and want more and more over and over again ..... with that being said someday later on down the road when you're really old, you might get fed up with it, or get it all out of your system .... and you'll just go buy a really nice car, keep it bonestock and just cruise it around

Now you know LS1s haven't been around but 11 years. So you think this is somekind of new Modding Diease going around or something? I've been hooked ever since I installed my first Victor Intake on a 69 Camaro. Flash forward thru 30 years of broken pushrods, broken transmissions and most important Bank Accounts. And now I wind up here 52 years old with the same old story. Why am I driving my 95 Chevy Stepside Pickup Truck that is a member of GAS Suckers Annomus to work everyday? Why because my 98 Camaros back up a the repair shop ( Performance Parts Dealer) again!
Words of Advice. Join AAA for $80 a year and when you break the unbreakable you get towed for 100 miles for free. Each time it breaks down. Not a 1 time thing and A rollback truck in my area will charge you $300 to haul you 100 miles. So the first time you use it it pays for itself. Go read the "When Will My 10 Bolt Break" sticky then think about it.
Once your hooked your hooked. Join www.HorsepowerJunkies.com with the rest of us. Nice forum for the mechanically handcapped Junkies with LS1 habits.
If this wife leaves you make sure the next wife has plenty of money and loves Camaros. When Advertising for a new spouce be direct. Ad should read.
Wanted Rich good looking woman that loves Camaros and Drag Racing. Must have a least a 10 second Camaro or Corvette. Please send picture of car!!

Don't get me wrong. I was bit with the bug over 15 yrs ago when I put a built 406 in my 78 Camaro. Back in high school I didn't have the money to spend on go fast parts. I sold the '78 back in '96 and have not had a "prodject" until I got my current 02 Z28 three yrs. ago. Now I have the bug in full force. As I quote someone on ls1 tech "spending money we don't have, buying things we don't need, trying to impress people we don't know"

Enough is enough when you take out big loans to help support you addiction. Cant make the payments because you used that money to buy more mods. The bank takes the car and house away. The wife divorces you. And you think about what you have done when you're living in a van down by the river.
