Well if you got more car then you can afford I can understand that.
You should have a grace period but im sure it will be a fight to make them take it back. Good luck!

Just because something is one persons "dream car", doesn't mean that everyone will love it. Actually I've never liked the C5 ZO6s, I can't stand the FRC body style on the C5s. I'd rather have the T/A too, just based on looks. As for power, a stock '01 LS6 isn't going to be much faster than his already modded TA anyway.

To the OP, sell your TA and the sounds system, man, it's too late. You'll get over the buyer's remorse in time and end up loving the car. Hit it with some N2O and a tune for it as soon as you can and you'll never look back.

I hope that car had 1500 miles on, was bone stock and looked better than it did when new -- or was modded with a 550rwhp 427ci monster motor and HRE wheels all round.
So aside from over paying too much for the car, you are just feeling classic buyers remorse.
I should imagine the first time you make a left right turn at speed you will be sold.
Also, as pointed out, once you sell your T/A you will have some mod money.

that was pretty unnecessary, how can you judge the value of the car without seeing it. cars sell for more/less depending on the area among other things.
talk to the dealership first but i have a feeling there not going to want to take it back. you could put it up for sale, and drive it in the mean time, it will probably grow on you. take it out for some high speed runs esp thru some twists although it may not be that much faster than your modded fbod, i'm sure the handling is many times better.
don't beat yourself up over it, worse case scenario is your stuck driving around a 01 z06... aw darn...

This is the reality of a 7 year old car - they are hitting rock bottom value wise.
A C5 Z in Colorado with 5,000 miles has a KKB retail of $32,000 - but that is very optimistic... and more like $28,000 for a 60,000 miler.
At this time, many would consider $34,000 a little high for an '01 Z06 - but the deal is done, so no crying over spilt milk now
He should sell the T/A and enjoy the **** out of the C5 Z06 and not look back.
Reality bites, but that's no reason to not make lemonade from the possible lemons of a sour deal
It's just big ticket buyers remorse - everyone suffers from it - hell even I had a few sleepless nights about spending $38,000 for my 2001 C5 Z... in August 2002 the OP will get over it, learn to love the new car and enjoy it.

well the price of the car was 29,999 and I got the service warranty with it also. That jacked the price up quite a bit. The money I'm trying to get for my TA and my bike I'm putting towards the Z so I can pay some of it off then refinance. Btw the contract was only a 3 day grace period so I guess I'm stuck for now.

As RC45 stated, he's not being mean, he's just being honest. There no way I'd buy an '01 Z for $30k+ unless it was seriously modded.
At this point, I'd hang on to it, sell the TA, pay towards principle and refinance ASAP.
And don't look at it as being stuck. Look at it as being able to keep a great car, heh.

Any real enthusiast who has dumped $$'s into a car that still has a lein has no doubt said at least once "man if I would've put that money down on my loan, I'd be that much closer to paying it off!"
Rather than dump your T/A $$ into mods, put that money down on your loan and enjoy the Z06 as is at least until you can afford some exhaust. You already said it's "a little" faster than the T/A anyways. So enjoy it, you'll find a way to pay for it.

Welcome to the Z06 family (us 2001 folks need to stick together) and start enjoying the best "bang for the buck" sports car on the planet

My advice would be to stick with the Z06, they hold value better than any other American car, imo. I was at the dealer last week, and a '03 with 35K miles was priced at $37k, so supply and demand do make a difference depending on area. It won't last long around here.
Anyway, give the Z06 a chance. Twice the car. The f-bods I have drove are like freaking trucks in comparison to the Z06. The mighty LS6 needs just a little spray and a small investment to hit 10.xx's on a consistant basis, check my sig. Try to find a f-bod that runs high 11's with only drag radials, taint going to happen, not even close.
Good luck though on what ever you decide, as i know how hard it can be to give up a car that you've put your heart into.

looks wise, i prefer a lowered T/A with a nice set of rims over any corvette. i'm not just bullshitting either. i'm not a big vette fan. good luck dude
BTW, i am not trying to **** anybody off, its just an opinion. but trust me, i do know that zo6's are like the ultimate maichine in a lot of ways, i just wish it was in T/A or camaro form
