Not to start **** but the Z06 driver must have been real bad. CAI and exhaust should put that Cobra trapping around 110-112, against a car that traps 115-117. But a win is a win, can't take that away.

When are people going to understand that Trap speed isn't everything? Do you know how much added power a CAI gives a terminator? ANd do you know what exhaust he had? We don't even know if it was a roll race or a dig, and at what speed if it is a roll. Your statement was quite presumptuous.

Who said a cobra is faster than a LS1.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmbETC3ZgeI

The cobra reacted really good to those mods though

Well, uh, the Cobra kind of looked a little faster in that video to me. LS1 w/CAI was faster than the stock Cobra by more then I think we can credit to the LS1 alone. But, then the LS w/CAI was not quite as fast as Cobra w/CAI. That Cobra spun bad in that last one. Only reason it lost there.

When both had CAI:

round 1 (roll) = dead even
round 2 (roll) = LS1 lost
round 3 (roll) = even?
round 4 (roll) = LS1 lost
round 5 (roll) = LS1 lost
round 6 (dig) = LS1 lost bad
round 7 (dig) = LS1 won (Cobra spun bad)

This video let me know that if I ever go up against a stock-like Termanator with my headers/CAI Z28, I better powershift if I want to win.

I dont really consider FRA a CAI and i dought the FRA provides the results of a CAI. But the cobra did look like it had a little bit of a edge with mods but i was still impressed with how well the ls1 hung with it.

Ok. Change CAI to "air induction modifications" so this doesn't turn into another piece of **** "what is the One True definition of cold air induction" thread. I just said CAI so everyone knew what I was talking about.

the only reason people will say cobra is becasue u can get a good deal on them and very very easy to mod u can gain so much power from the stupidest things that its just cheating! i am really not a fan of cobra's but i do know they are fast as **** but be wise about what u choose notice every cobra you see on the streets all have mods non of them are stock, but you do see f bodys and corvettes stock on the street becase they are bought for what they really are, people only buy cobra's for the straight line performance and they do not stay stock becse stock they suck *** but if i were you i will tak the corvette its alot better chioce and its a car the will be appriciated because of its name and think about just the fact that saying you OWN A FORD

im all about ls1's but the truth of the matter is that cobra is the best bang for the buck u can get
you can easily modify them with decent power with minimal amounts of cash
cobras also come stock with a built motor although not with the best of rods it can handle alot more than an ls1 for sure

svt madet the car the only thing that is ford is the body
everything else is svt
and the reason why 03-04 cobras are called terminators are because they terminated teh competitiion for gm lol
but yah for real
the car only has the badges ford but is not really

The Terminator looks good to car guys. The Vette looks good to anybody. And any factory forced induction car responds well to intakes and exhausts. thats usually an easy 30+ hp.

I cant believe this forums loyalty to a Ford product, this is pitiful guys. Go with the vette hands down, a good heads/cam setup will usually walk a pullied S/C Cobra in a straight line and flat out embarrass it on a track. The choice should be obvious-3600+lbs vs 3200lbs, 5.7l vs 4.6l, slick aerodynamics vs. brick in the wind, eye catching timeless looks vs. "is that a v6 or a v8 mustang?", and the list goes on and on. Or to put it more simply: Ford vs. Chevy. No brainer dude IMHO.
