2003 Cobra or 1998 Corvette
Hey everyone! I'm aware that the opinions here will be biased, but I would like some insight into the two. I have yet to drive a 03 Cobra, but I have driven a couple of C5's. Perhaps there are owners from both sides! Thanks!

well in straight line performance, the Cobra HANDS DOWN. They are CRAZY and about the only other car right now i'd consider letting MY Vette for go Now if you like to do road coarses and carve up back country roads, then go with a Vette. Also the average person see's a Cobra and thinks it's your average stang with some appearance stuff done to it. EVERYBODY knows what a Vette is I notice a Cobra or a Mach 1 right off the bat because i'm a car enthusiast but the average blow joe isn't gonna notice. Just the other day i went to Walgreens and had a 80+ year old lady say, "Nice Vette". Not hitting on me by any means, LOL, but i was FLOORED that she even knew what it was. haha. I love my Vette but you can't go wrong either way. The SVT's are very cheap to mod but the Vette has a pedigree and name to them. "The Assasin in an Armani Suit" so to speak

Thanks for the replies guys! Each car does have there pro's and cons. The market in Ontario is a little different then the U.S. There are 03 Cobras here for anywhere around $25K to $27K. For a Vette, in that price range will get you into a 98/99 and maybe a 00. Currently, I have a 99 Camaro SS, but would like something different. I got a new job, so I would like to upgrade a little. I had a 99 Mustang GT before the Camaro, and although it had no ***** what so ever, i still enjoyed that car a lot. It was very reliable and I even drove it through a winter and didn't kill myself, lol!

Depending on what your price range is, I say the Cobra as well. But it also depends on your goals. If you want big power the Cobra is it, you can get it cheap with minimal mods. If you want something to just drive around in, I say the Vette

Look at my sig, Cobra all the way. Of course I only have a full bolt on SS. But when my first 03' Cobra had exhaust and a cold air, I put at least a car length on an 02' Z06.
When I bought my 10th (2nd 03') before I did any mods I took a LS1 vette no problem, guy was pretty surprised but nice about it.
My wife and I rented an 07' LS2 vette vert for a week in Hawaii, and with the 6 speed auto it felt almost as strong as my Cobra.
And believe it or not the Cobras are not bad at handling as some would think. The only downside to the Cobra I can think of is a fairly stiff clutch (cable, not hydraulic)
But still the only Vette I would trade for would be an LS2/3 or a NEW Z06.
