Default Powdercoaing LS6 Intake

Can you do it? just have to plug the exhaust valves and intake?

if the intake is metal / aluminum or....... you can if it is plastic then I would say no.
They have to cook the item when the powdercoat it so plastic may melt or distort.

You can paint a plastic one. Powdercoating wouldn't work unless on a metal intake.

there was a thread about someone powdercoating a ls6 intake awhile ago, so it can be done. i would just paint it though

I though that Weiand makds an aluminum one now along with BBK

yeah but their no good. the LS6 is proven better in the long run.

What paint would you be able to use? Would it have to be high temp?

cool. I didnt know If you had an aftermarket one of a stock one. So I tried to address both at the same time. Not trying to sound to dumb here lol

i wouldnt say weiand intakes are no good. the weiand is great for massive shots of nitrous. and those can also be ported, unlike the ls6.

ive never painted an intake but i wouldnt think you need high temp paint since the intake doesnt get that hot

lol i dont think i'll ever run a massive shot of nitrous on this motor anyways. it will stay 100 or 150.

and I have heard a lot of bad things about the weiland. I have never heard a negative about the LS6

There was a thread about this a while back, but my Search Foo wasn't great enough to find it.

Just paint it. They look great painted. I've seen stunning LS6 intakes. Though, I'd just paint mine gloss black.
