Default I think I'll have another!!

I have always owned a truck. I always wanted a car to play with, but until recently I could not afford to have both. Back in June I bought my first LS1 (in my sig). Now due to how far I drive (60 miles a day) I am going to sale my truck and get a Z28 or TA to drive every day. This will be the first time ever for me to not have a truck. I hope I don't regret it. I just figured if I'm not really using it to haul stuff anymore then why am I putting 1 tank of gas through it every week and paying a pretty decent note when I could get another camaro that gets excellent gas mileage and a much smaller note. I guess I am posting this because I am still kinda up in the air about if I want to be truckless or not. What do ya'll think? I know I will get a truck again, but for now I am thinking it might be a good move until I need one again.

Yeah that is what I was considering, but then I wouldn't want to drive either one every day. At least with a Z28 or TA I would be able to drive those everyday without regreting it so much. You know with the rain and rode debris and all.

Meh, it's an F-body, no offense but neither car is rare or worth a lot of money. Just drive them and enjoy it.

Thats true, even though all of us hate to see them daily driven, its not really a big deal. Keep it as nice as you can, but at the same time dont hesitate to make a cool splash in a puddle or to take it out to slide around in the rain.

That's completely understandable, but I think being able to enjoy your car everyday is worth a little grime here and there.

You probably don't get much snow down there, so I think you'll be fine. As for me, I don't know how I survived so long without a truck. Therefore, you might miss the convenience of the truck as far as hauling, etc.

You need both. If it wasn't for my 95 truck I'd be walking right now. And it isn't the first time it saved me either. **** happens sometimes for no apparant reason and while your cars in the shop your going to be walking dude! I wouldn't sell my Z28 or my pickup truck!

Id much rather have a truck and a TA or camaro. My truck is extreamly usefull, expecially here in Ia. i do alot of hauling and with a truck you can get a trailer and haul your TA to a car show or the shop (which i hope is never the case unless its performenced based).

I think if I do this I will only keep the second car for a little while. While I am having to drive to the med center every day. It will only be another year at the most before I am either working at another hospital or another job. I am sure I will miss the convenience of a truck every now and then, but right now the cost effectiveness of driving a car every day would be better.

Yeah, I do a lot of highway driving, with feathering the throttle and trying to drive gas conscientious I get upper 20's to lower 30's to the gallon on the interstate.

I used to always have a truck, so my toy (then a 72 olds) could stay inside. But, it seems my days off, weekends, holidays were spent moving, hauling, or towing someone else's stuff. Now, no truck, my toy (o2 ta) can stay inside during inclement weather while I drive my family car/daily driver Buick.

I figure if I need a truck that bad, I can rent a U Haul for 20 bucks a day. that's a lot cheaper, and a lot less hassle.
