Default Spin the tires??

Shouldn't my car be able to spin the tires? I can't even spin them from a dead stop now....I have a few bolts on ( in sig) and with my stock 16's it would spin so much from a stop that I could barely keep it straight. Now with 18 x 9.5 c6's and 275/35/18 BFG KDW2 I can't spin them. Shouldn't I be able to?? Oh and it is an auto.

It's better to hook up then spin. The rim and tire may be heavier and a wider tire has a greater contact patch.

Oh yeah its way better to hook than spin. Its just wierd going from not even being to able to take off because of it spinning to it not spinning at all.

I don't mind a little spin when I'm at the track. Stock rear is happy. Wallet is happy.

Throw a big converter in there and remember the days when it didn't spin.....cause those days are long gone!

if youre rollin with 2.73's, dont be surprised that you cant spin em off the line. I couldnt either when i had my 18x9.5 c6's but i could with my stockers. I put a stall and 3.73's now i can fry em off

I love these posts. I know its nice to show off sometimes and I'd bet if you power braked the car it would burn them. But I would love to get traction and not need drag radials on the car. I could only dream of it, and I don't have many mods.

Im an M6 and my car doesnt like to spin. I can tromp it from 1500 rpms in gear and it just goes. But it runs 13.4's @108-9 with damn near 2.3 60's so I know its not the car. I am real happy with the goodyear eagle gs's

Yeah my cars spins like crazy with a street tire and my M/T et streets. My car is basicly stock but I do have a 3000stall so thats where alot of my spin comes into play. Hell since its cold now and the roads are not hot anymore I took of hard today in from a light and as soon as I out my foot into it they spun all through first and finally stopped spinning few secs into 2nd gear. Witch isnt good if I run from a dig with someone. When it was hot out I had very little spin out of the hole coming out extremely hard sometimes witch I rarely do. When I was on a eagle F1 275-40-17 it was a nightmare coming out of the hole it was impossible to hook no matter how much i featherd it and even into 2nd gear they would spin if it was a lil colder out. when its hot out though I get almost no spin with a hard launch but I mean it needs to be like 90+degrees. However I do avoid coming out of the hole hard since yeah rear end is not cheap thankfully my car hardly sees to many high stalled launchs maybe 1 a month when its hot out

Well in an M6 at such a low rpm you will bog like crazy so that's why you don't spin.
