Exclamation Very happy with my ls1 f-body!

Hey i just want to let every one know that i am so happy with my ls1 i have a 2000 SS camaro m6! black too! this was my dream car ever since i was in high school and now i have it! i am 20 now and she has 108,000 miles on her and i have had her for a year now! I plan on keeping this car forever if any thing breaks i plan on fixing it! the paint is a little dull but nothing a good paint job cant fix! I just realized this today while driving. I plan on storing her for the winter and buying a cheap 4x4 for winter seeing as how i live in illinois. I dont think there is a faster car stock maybe even modded for 14,000 dollars or under!! does any one want to chime in on this??

It's a "clay" bar, polymers with abrasives blended in made to remove surface contaminants. I prefer it to buffing, it's hard to screw up

YEs... I can vouch for the clay... I had some severe doubts.. but i decided to try it and its pretty simple using the method: when in doubt use more lube.

wow i have to try this clay bar stuff i have heard nothing but good things! do u have to buff seeing as i dont own a buffer can i just wash the car then clay it??? This other guy at work just got a ws6 and he paid a 125 dollars for a full detail and it is looking sweet in black too, so i am kind of down cuz my car is dirty! o well i am gonna try to clay it! The only thing bugging me is that my car only put down 277 to the wheels and 289 for torque and its a an m6!!! I am going up to the track tomorrow with some buddies and hope fully i can run a good time at least!

yeah try out the clay bar, I used one this spring for the first time and it's really easy and made a nice difference in the smoothness of my paint. And for the car, yeah, these cars are addicting . At first I told myself "I can't believe I just spent this much money on this car.....and then I romped on it for a while and realized I made a good decision.

What job do you have? That sounds like a lot of high priced stuff for a 20 year old.

Yes, if the paint is just dull and not scratched or chiped it just needs a full cleaning: Clay Bar, Polish(not wax), then wax. Or have a pro detail it.

Default rubbinh compound

look into a 3m rubbing compound also... takes light scratches out.. swirl and haze remover... liquid wax...
