I need some help for some weight saving's for my car. I am doing the k-member and control arms. What other area's can you save a bunch. I will not get rid of a/c as I use the car for the Hotrod power tour each year and gets real hot then.

 

A fiberglass hood will take some weight off of the front end. I take out my spare and jack at the track. Haven't done it my self but you can always take out the rear seat and remove some sound deadening stuff, add lightweight carpet, ect. Lexan windows depending on how radical you want to get.

I'm sure some of the real racers have plenty more secrets I'm not thinking about.

 

I was going to do the seats with some nice light weight ones. Anybody know about aluminum radiator or other aluminum items.

No rear seat is a big one. Also, racing seats will lower your cars weight quite a bit...

 

I Am Doing Some Corbeau Race Seats. I Have To Keep It Somewhat Comfortable As I Drive It On The Street As Well.
