Default blinker stays on

today i saw a z28 in the turning lane and their signal wasnt flashing. My 97 z28 did the same thing and my friend michelles 2000 6cyl does it too. is it a common problem or just a coincidence?

burned out flasher is the problem, its located underneath knee bolster (underneath steering wheel where your knees are at hence knee bolster), it can be taken out by removing just a few screws, there are two flashers one for hazards and one for your turn signals by finding out which one is which just turn on your hazards and if you dont here any clicking then its the other flasher, or hell it could just be a burned out bulb.

If you turn your signal and it just sits on with no blinking it means one of your bulbs on that side is burnt out.

not necessarily.. i have a burnt out bulb currently.. and my blinker still blinks fine.. my flasher has died twice though.. and that is exactly what was happening.

Oh, well mine comes on and just sits when a bulb goes out. Assumed they were all like that.

If its not the blinker fluid, i had a bulb that was just loose once and did the same thing. before you buy a bulb try making sure it didn't work it self loose
