Thats going to be alot of work, if your going the awd route start with a Bravada. A TT 4.3 bravada would be sweet. They come with AWD anyway, blazers are 4wd.

Starting with a 4WD S-10, the V8 conversion isn't that difficult and has been done before. The only thing I really wonder about is whether I will be able to fit a 4L80E in the trans tunnel without modification.

negatory ghostwriter, well at least i highly doubt it. we have a 700r4 in our s-10 blazer with a 350 swap and it barley fits into the tunnel..not sure how much bigger the 4l80e is but im not sure that it will fit without moding it.

i had to lift my tunnel for my th350, 4l80e is even bigger IIRC.

If I was going to do a Subaru, I'd have to stick with a horizontally opposed engine. Cowl hoods are all well and fine, but not on a Subaru
