I've daily driven mine for a year and half now. I've put 15k on it with no real major problems caused by me. There were som eleaks and other small things that the previous owners failed to fix or mention but she's all good except for the dying rear and that'll just be an excuse for my to upgrade. 105k is whats on it. It does fine in the rain and snow around hear.

Daily drove my 94 T/A for 2 years then bought my 99 T/A w/31k and have been daily driving it for 2-1/2 years, even though I only put 15,000 miles on it..I couldn't imagine driving a slow pos while the T/A sits in the garage

It's been daily driven since purchased new in Jan. 2000 (hence my username). It's driven in rain, sleet, snow, hail, ice, on rally stages, etc., etc. Life's WAAAYYY TOO SHORT to not enjoy this thing EVERY chance I get, and it's enough car to not get "bored" with it or become jaded with it's performance!! In other words, I STILL appreciate it despite driving it every day, I would NOT appreciate it ANY more ONLY taking it out on nice weekends.
It; goes mid 12s with a road race suspension, NEVER fails to start, been dead on reliable/solid (only non "wear and tear" item was a water pump at 85K miles), and gets >31 mpg on the highway (even with 4.10s).
In summary; GM/Chevy gave me the bargain of a lifetime new, for <$21K!!
THANK YOU, "American Giant"!!!

It was a DD until about 9 months ago, I knocked the wife up again so we decided to get another more family oriented car that was new for me to drive everyday. The Camaro was paid for when I got it so having a (cheap)car payment on my DD isn't too big of a deal, besides I'm saving a lot of money on gas which also helps.
In the end it worked out, the Camaro gets to sit in the garage and I can do projects on it where long downtimes wont be a pain in the ***. After all of those weekends of trying to rush it and get it done so I could drive it to work on Monday it was a big relief.

mine was a daily for the first 3 or 4 months i had it. Now i DD the ol' 95 dakota. Some people sware by driving their car everday, but i just enjoy taking it out friday nights/weekends/nice days. Makes it more special to me i guess. maybe when i get a stall/cam i'll drive it more because i wont be able to resist, but right now its just for fun.

Me too. This is my 3rd Firebird, starting with the '97, then the '01, both V-6s. Had the WS6 for a year or so. All very reliable cars. Having driven the same kind of car for 10 years makes it feel natural to drive. I will drive the wife's F-150 only the couple times every couple years when the snow sticks to the ground. Or to go hunting.

I have no good reason not to drive mine daily except that I don't want to ruin the interior with the type of work I do. I beat on the 2.2 Sonoma, but everytime I don't drive the SS I always get passed by another F-body or Mustang and wished I was in my car. Probably drive it more after the heads go on!

I really planned on getting a 1st gen. but I don't think that'll be good especially for the winter time since it takes a while to heat up plus, it could attract too much attention at the school parking lot and some jackass would key it or something.
So most likely I'll end up getting a DD like a Civic.
THAT is though if I get the scholarship I want for the school. If I don't get the full-ride, then I have to buy only 1 car, lol

Mine was a weekend warrior until yesterday when my subaru legacy tried to overheat. I'll drive the camaro for a week until I get it fixed. I only drive a beater daily b/c I don't have a lot of money. If you're not hurting for cash there's no reason not to drive the fbody daily.

Since the day I got it to where it is now. Its becoming a bitch to drive it everyday and I enjoy regular cars more than I do my hot rod sometimes.
