i was gonna guess clogged cat. but WTF do i know. My LS1 felt fast when i gunned it haha My '96 Z28 REALLY felt fast when i bought it coming up from a '00 GTP i'm thinking i would pass this one up unless you REALLY like it. There are many others, even ones on here, that you can have for probably the same price and with better care given to it. just my $.02~Cole~

I think its either all in your head or there is something wrong with the car. Doubt you are gonna tell that much a difference between the 2.73's and 3.23's to where the car feels that much slower. Plus this car has a better intake than your trans am had so that should almost make up for the taller gears. How long ago did you have your TA? Might just seem slower depending on how long ago you drove an LS1. And that whole dash not working thing doesn't sound all that good.

To many red flags for me to spend my money on something like that. If the dash doesnt work, take the car to pep boys or advance auto parts and have them scan the computer for free. It will tell you whats going on. If that checks out, go over the general problems like clogged fuel filter, dirty MAF, etc. IMO, dont waste your money and buy a different car.

Does it idel smooth? How does it shift? With the intake being changed it makes me think there is a loose or cracked vacume line. I would check that b4 anything else. And yes lt1s feel alot faster than ls1s the auto lts are also alot faster after 120 than a m6 ls1, also i think it has different suspension than your t/a which i believe is softer making the t/a feel faster. Ive drove alot of stock Z28's that felt faster than my ss because of different suspension. Check the vacume lines.

Especially when something breaks and you have to try and figure out what parts the previous owner used. Multiply the headache 10X if there was any cobbing. Trust me, I've been down this road and will never travel it again!
