Need Proof That LS1's are Extremely Responsive to Mods

I jsut love the fact that UNLIKE a built 500hp SBC(or any other built v8..really)....you can drive to the track with a/c......throw down 10 second passes....then drive home getting 20mpg+

Well, technically anyone that is putting down 410-430 rwhp (depending on transmission, etc.) has a 500 hp car and plenty of them are getting 15-20 mpg on the highway.
Why can't you have TDs that go out the back in an F-body? Last time I looked mine do.
My opinion is that the 4.6 was a weird route to go by Ford. It's as big as a big block but w/o the power or displacement. Plus it is a hassle to mod compared to the older engines. Nothing about the new Mustangs draws much attention from me, I don't really care if they forge and throw a charger on them.

I don't have that great dyno #'s but my track results tell the tale.....that's all that matters to me at least I love the LS1-9.....awesome N/a engines...except for the ls9 (lookout Ford, here we come)

The simple answer to your question lies in the Dyno Results section as well as the 11-second and 12-second club sections. Check out the ridiculous number of LS1's ripping 11's in the quarter with only basic bolt-ons, a cam and a good tune!
I will also offer this disclaimer: I'm not an ignorant, or overly proud Chevy guy. I understand that my LS1 responds quite well to mods, however I also understand that a simple pulley swap on a '03- '04 Cobra results in a pretty nice gain at the wheels as well! Point in short is that there are several very nice high-performance cars out there that respond well to mods and the LS1 is certainly near the top of the list!
